David González / Spain
Spanish musician born in Madrid, David is a great lover of flamenco and Latin music and his project Jenny and the Mexicats fuses both these styles and nationalities. He participates in Jenny and the Mexicats as a percussionist, singer and composer.
Currently residing in Mexico, he regularly tours the United States, South America, Central America and Europe with the music of the band's three albums. Their latest last album, ''Mar Abierto'' pays homage to musical fusion from Jazz to Flamenco Rumba passing through Reggae, Cumbia, Folk etc ...
I started using La Rosa Percussion almost 7 years ago and always from the first moment I perceived that they make cajons thinking about the real needs of percussionists. I will never forget when they first began to make them and José Mora approached many of the local cajon players asking how we would like our perfect cajon to sound, and based on that direct contact with percussionists, they have achieved the level of sound quality that us cajon players can be thankful for today.
Their cajons adapt to any situation that you can possibly imagine as a percussionist. In my case I require that the cajon be the dominant instrument in the rhythm section of my band and I need it to work practically with the same strength as drum kit. Their cajons provide me with that power, but without forgetting the delicacy that in other more acoustic moments you may need. For me without doubt they are the best cajons on the market.
